One patient, one encounter, six bills
Multiple bills: CareConnect provides a solution
“A picture is worth a thousand words.” That’s what Dr. David Feinberg, president of UCLA Health
System, told a patient who in January emailed a photo of the six billing statements she received
after a single encounter here.
With the CareConnect implementation underway, Dr. Feinberg was able to offer an answer to
this patient’s frustration: “We are working on a system that will soon get our billing down to two
bills maximum, with the goal of one day getting it to one bill.”
