With less than six months to go before Go-Live 1, CareConnect hosted another in a series of informal drop-in events for future users of the system to meet with members of the CareConnect team and get their questions answered.
On July 1, CareConnect goes live at hospitals and clinics throughout the UCLA Health System for scheduling, registration, billing, and health information management (except UCLA Santa Monica Bay Physicians and oncology clinics); lab order communication at Westwood and Santa Monica hospitals; and documentation and computerized physician order entry at a group of ambulatory clinics.
Nearly 70 hospital billing and health information management employees attended the Connect with CareConnect event held at the Wilshire Center and had the opportunity to meet with David McCloskey, CareConnect application manager for hospital billing; and Kathleen Crow, CareConnect application manager for health information management. They asked specific questions about how CareConnect will affect their job roles and when will training would be held.
Similar events were held at the UCLA Health System's Century Boulevard and UCLA Santa Monica Bay Physicians business offices.
CareConnect is planning additional outreach events in the near future in Westwood and Santa Monica. Check our Upcoming Events page for updates.
