In alignment with UCLA’s commitment to limit the spread of COVID-19, we are transitioning previously scheduled in-person trainings to RemoteTraining sessions using Zoom.
Below is a guide to attending Remote Training sessions and best practices for being a good Zoom participant.
In order to prepare for attending training online, please see the below. We recommend ensuring you have access to Zoom for video conferencing and Citrix for access to our training environments for CareConnect. Please configure your device to access these applications before your scheduled training.
You will need the following basic resources to attend and complete Remote Trainings from home:
All Remote Trainings will be available via Zoom, our web and conferencing application. Access to Zoom sessions will be enabled by an invitation to a meeting via a url link. When you are invited to a meeting via an URL link, clicking on the link will automatically launch the Zoom desktop client. If the Zoom desktop client is not installed, the url link will prompt you to install.
Prior to your training we recommend you decide if you will attend via the Web on desktop or laptop, or on your mobile device and get the appropariate device set up in order to avoid any delays on the day of your training. You can join a Zoom meeting without creating a Zoom account.

Being an active and good participate in Zoom requires that you have a basic understanding of how to manage a Zoom session. Below are links to basic Zoom functionality and preparing your device for your Remote Training session.
Although the Zoom application is available for mobile, it is not recommended that you attend remote training on a mobile phone. In the event you do not have access to a laptop or desktop, please be sure to install the app from your device’s app store.
New hire participants may be asked to access our Actual Classroom Environments (ACE) or Training Playground (TPLY) through CareConnect Remote. In order to access these CareConnect environments, you will need the following:
